Witnesses To History

Just like Charles Lindberg's heroic flight from New York to Paris non-stop...or Felix Baumgartner's parachute jump from the stratosphere - this gauntlet was thrown down by the iRobotics team in Japan. Their challenge was simple: fly an un-manned drone from Tokyo to San Francisco - non-stop and unmanned. Just like Lindberg's flight across the Atlantic Ocean in 1929 - the winner will forever change the way people view drones.

The Pacific Drone ChallengeTM will push technology to the limit - and prove once and for all what drones are capable of accomplishing.

4500 miles across the ocean, regardless of weather. No fuel stops or stops of any kind. No one on-board but lots of cool technology and a bunch memorabilia.
